The Camps - Our Story

Hi, I’m Travis, and my passion for photography has been going strong since the mid-1990s.

I started with a Canon AE-1 in the early 2000s, honing my skills by developing my own 35mm film in a darkroom.

After college, I transitioned to a DSLR, and today I shoot with the cutting-edge mirrorless Nikon Z8 and D750.

At the heart of our team is Jody, my wife, best friend, and all-around powerhouse left toon and bow paddler.

Jody is our Marketing Director, Boat Wrangler, IG Reel Contributor, and so much more.

Together, we are Camp Outside Photos.

What started as a passion has blossomed into the unique and refined style of photography we proudly offer today.

Our primary mission is to provide high-quality, adventure-based fine art and lifestyle photography for outfitters, gear brands, individuals, and their loved ones, all set against the backdrop of natural beauty.

We currently serve the Nashville, Tennessee area, as well as the stunning Ocoee River Gorge.
